If you are tired of your usual lunch break fodder then I encourage you to crack open that jar of sambal and create something unusual that will liven up your taste buds and make you the envy of your co-workers.
If you have bought one of our sambals off me in person no doubt you have heard me espousing about their many wonderful applications so this is just a reminder. If you have yet to try a sambal maybe this will encourage you to buy one, they really do perk up a limp sarnie or wrap! These are just three of my favourite wraps that I heartily recommend you try out. You can adjust the quantity of sambal that you use according to your own taste.
Make a spread -
I mix a teaspoon of sambal into about 2 tablespoons of mayo and spread that like butter on either a wrap or two slices of bread.
Fillings -
I grow my own lettuce so I use a healthy amount of that with all my wraps.
My favourite main filling is using up left over chicken from a Sunday roast, particularly good with our signature sambal
Tuna gets a pick me up from our Sambal Ulek. I use a heaped teaspoon of ulek to one tablespoon of mayo and mix it all together with the tuna. Heaven!
Finally I find cheddar works really well with either sambal - dairy helps tone the heat down so don't be afraid of using the ulek here, you'll still be able to taste the cheese!
As ever I would love to hear from you about the ways in which you are using your sambals, leave a comment in down below or on facebook.
