The cuisine of the Caribbean fuses a fascinating mix of diverse cultures and heritage, drawing on spices from the East as well as herbs from the West. Caribbean food is typically bold and fresh and here we have created a blend to reflect some of the islands cuisine.
Our Caribbean curry powder is a mild and distinct blend, not to be confused with the more spicier seasonings of the region such as Jerk. This blend is popular with families that enjoy the complex flavours of curry but do not want their powder to include too much underlying heat (you can simply add fresh chillies if you want a hotter result). There is a touch of heat obtained from the pepper, cloves and mustard seeds but the powder lacks a chilli element.
This curry powder works across the board with everything from fish, chicken, beef, goat all the way to mango curries and is a fantastic 'gateway' powder for younger palates to taste the exotic without the burn.
We sell this distinct powder in an 80g Tube which has a food grade lining so you can refill with our 40g packets when needed.
The 40g packets contain enough spice for between 8 and 10 meals, recipe dependent.
