Our Sambal Ulek is by far the hottest in our range, but don't let that put you off! It still packs lovely deep oriental spicing that shines through before the gradual and intense build up of heat. We use three distinct varieties of hot chillies to give our Ulek it's unique flavour.
Sambal Ulek is made to a traditional Javanese recipe from completely natural ingredients, there are no artificial colouring's, preservatives or stabilisers. Suitable for Vegan diets and is gluten free.
Uses: This fiery sauce can be used sparingly as a marinade, a base for curries and stir fries, thinly spread on sandwiches and wraps, as a base for other sambals or simply as a condiment for oriental dishes.
